Swimmers Itch - YUCK!

As evidenced at our 2018 Welcome Back to Paradise meeting we asked you who has been impacted by swimmers itch, and we saw many hands go up perhaps up to 20%.  Our board members have been going to conferences on this topic for many, many years to stay informed.

We have observed other lake associations who's lakes were greatly impacted, they got involved and conduct studies leading to recommendations for improving the swimmers itch situation on the lake.

By a vote of the Long Lake Association Board of Directors, Fresh Water Solutions has been contracted to conduct a comprehensive assessment of Long and Mickey Lakes during the summer of 2018.  The cost of this study is $13,000 and the MISIP has awarded $3,000 of matching funds to Long Lake Association to help offset this cost.

Besides your generous contributions we are asking for your help to identify locations on the lakes where you have experienced swimmer’s itch.  Please identify by address or other means so we . Please include contact information should additional information be needed.

Please complete the form below and let us know where you have gotten swimmers itch.

Then drop a check in the mail noting Swimmers Itch Fund or click the donate button below and make your generous contribution online.
