Tanya Berg
Secretary and Board Member
Board Term 2010-2013
Tanya was appointed Secretary of the LLA Board in 2009 and was also elected to a three year term on the board in 2010. Tanya is an MSU graduate and owner of Smartmark Consulting, a marketing consulting firm. She and her husband, Tom, have owned their home on Ruth Lake since 1998 and became full-time residents in 2008 after relocating from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Jake Kaberle
Board Term 2009 – 2012
Born and raised in Traverse City, Jake has lived in Long Lake Township for 26 years. He is the Assistant General Manager at Boone’s Long Lake Inn. Jake was elected to a 3 year term as a board member in 2009 and is on the Social and Recreation Committee and the Communication Committee.
Dennis Wiand
Dennis is serving in his second year as vice president and eighth consecutive year on the board of directors. He began as director of Fishing Quality Committee and presently is the director of the Lake Management Committee. Dennis is a past president of the Long Lake Foundation and he and his wife, Karen, have been members of the Long Lake community since 1989.
Walter Kraimer
Board Term 2010 – 2012
Walter has been vacationing at the family cottage on Long Lake since 1961 and has been a seasonal resident since 1993. A General Motors retiree who is looking forward to serving the Long Lake Association as well as the community.
